‘Game of Thrones’ Season 7 Production Will Start a Bit Later. Will the Air Date Pushed Back?

As if ten months is not long enough to wait for the new season of “Game of Thrones”, season 7 air date is now potentially pushed back. Showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss revealed during a UFC podcast that production would start a little bit later than usual to capture the gloomy weather. 
“We’re starting a little bit later because, at the end of this season, winter is here, and that means that sunny weather doesn’t really serve our purposes any more,” said Weiss. “We kind of pushed everything down the line so we could get some grim, gray weather, even in the sunnier places that we shoot.” 
As for whether the delay in production would push back the season premiere, Weiss just said, “We don’t have an air date yet.”
