‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’ Will Feature These ‘Avengers’ Characters

While they got very short screen time before turning into ashes in “Avengers: Infinity War“, Nick Fury and Maria Hill may get their own share to get in action with Spider-Man in “Spider-Man: Far From Home“. According to Vulture, Samuel L. Jackson and Cobie Smulders have signed up to reprise their respective roles in the upcoming “Spider-Man: Homecoming” sequel.

Fury and Hill barely had a chance to jump into action to save the world before Thanos decimated half of the population in the universe with his finger snap. Like Fury and Hill, Spider-Man, Bucky Barnes, Black Panther, Groot, Mantis, Drax, Peter Quill, Doctor Strange and more were among the casualties.

Thus, it remains to be seen how the upcoming movie will bring back Spidey, Fury and Hill. Sony refuses to comment on reports about Jackson and Smulders’ appearances in the next Spider-Man installment. Jackson has also been confirmed to star in “Captain Marvel” as the younger version of Fury.

The “Spider-Man: Homecoming” sequel will take Tom Holland‘s Peter Parker overseas as he travels abroad during summer vacation. Jake Gyllenhaal is cast as villain Mysterio, a master of illusion. Zendaya Coleman, Marisa Tomei, Michael Keaton, Jacob Batalon and Tony Revolori also return for the sequel, which is still directed by Jon Watts with the script provided by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. J.B. Smoove and Numan Acar are added to the cast in new roles.

There were rumors that “Far From Home” would take place before the events in “Avengers: Infinity War”. It reportedly would end with the web-slinger heading off on the field trip he ditches to help Iron Man save the world.
