Harry Potter’s story is over with “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” stage play and book. At the two-part play’s premiere which took place Saturday, July 30 in London’s West End, author J.K. Rowling confirmed that the play which depicts the titular character as an adult marked the end of Potter’s journey in the Harry Potter universe.
Asked if fans could expect a new phase of stories, the author told Reuters, “No, no.” She later appeared on stage during the show. “[Harry] goes on a very big journey during these two plays and then, yeah, I think we’re done. This is the next generation, you know,” she said. “So, I’m thrilled to see it realized so beautifully but, no, Harry is done now.”
