Rejoice, “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” fans. The series has been renewed for season 6 by ABC.
However, the new season will be having 13 episodes only. It’s down from the five previous seasons that have 22 episodes.
Being the only Marvel-related series on the network, “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” averages a 1.2 rating in the 18-49 demo, after being moved from Tuesdays to Fridays. It also brings in nearly 4 million total viewers with seven days of delayed viewing as the drama remains a strong DVR performer.
The current season 5 slowly explains the relationship between the show and “Avengers: Infinity War“. This season sees Agent Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) discovering that some, but not all, of his S.H.I.E.L.D. colleagues were taken with him and placed onboard a mysterious space ship. As they come in contact with some of the vessel’s inhabitants, it becomes clear that something has gone terribly wrong.
