Following the social media out cry against Swangz Avenue singer Winnie Nwagi’s erotic dance moves during a music show held on July 13 at St. Mary’s College, Kisubi, the anti-pornography Control Committee (PCC) has picked interest in the matter by imposing punitive measures against the sultry singer and her record label.
A viral video of the singer and her vixens dancing erotically with teenage boys attracted mixed reactions— prompting the regulator to investigate the matter.
The regulatory Committee has since reprimanded the seductive singer and her record label – Swangz Avenue to apologise for the artiste’s transgression of explicit behaviour that she depicted to the young boys.
Ms Winnie Nwagi and her bosses were summoned by the PCC where it was agreed that the record label and the singer would issue an apology to the school and also make a public apology on their social media platforms.
The committee has also legally bound Winnie Nwagi to an agreement that she will refrain from what was termed as ‘pornographic presentation’ lest the long arm of the law will take action against her.
“We deeply regret the inappropriate performance by Winnie Nwagi at St Mary’s College Kisubi on July 13th,” Swangz Avenue posted telling the committee that the management has investigated the incident and measures have been put in place to avoid a repeat of the same.
